Short & Sharp Summer Workshops
Sgraffito Pottery or Stained Glass
- Beginner-friendly half-day workshops
- Flexible booking: these workshops are almost on demand – simply book before 12pm today for a session tomorrow!
- Held in the period 15 December – 27 February’26
- Locations:
- Stained Glass: Held at my home in the beautiful Motueka Valley, just minutes from Motueka.
- Pottery: Hosted at the renowned McGlashen Pottery in Brightwater.
- Cost: NZ$135 per person, payable via a secure PayPal link (you can use a credit/debit card or your PayPal account).
Please note: If pottery items need to be mailed to you after glazing, there will be a cost for postage. - Times: Start time 9.30am, finish 1.30pm

1-Day Stained Glass Workshops
- Beginner-friendly workshops where you’ll create a stunning ornament featuring a native bird, plant, flower, landscape, seascape or vintage / art deco design.
- Location: Alternating between Mapua, Richmond and Upper Moutere.
- Time: from 10am to 4.30pm.
- Cost: $250, including materials.
- Returning for a second workshop within 6 months? Your next 1-day workshop will be just $195.
- Advanced pathway for committed makers (studio model): You’ll pay a flat rate of $75 per studio day, plus $5 for each piece of glass in your design. This pathway is available only for those who completed at least two workshops AND demonstrated established skills and safe working practice. You’re welcome to book into any workshop day, work on your own design or ongoing project and progress at your own pace. Dedicated tools and instruments will be available specifically for this group.

2-Day Stained Glass Workshops: A Larger Project in Stained Glass
- Beginner-friendly workshop where you’ll create a personal larger or more difficult project.
- Location: Alternating between Mapua, Nelson and Richmond.
- Time: 10am – 4.30pm both days
- Cost: $350, including materials
- Advanced pathway for committed makers (studio model): You’ll pay a flat rate of $75 per studio day, plus $5 for each piece of glass in your design. This pathway is available only for those who completed at least two workshops AND demonstrated established skills and safe working practice. You’re welcome to book into any workshop day, work on your own design or ongoing project and progress at your own pace. Dedicated tools and instruments will be available specifically for this group.

Pottery Workshops in collaboration with McGlashen Pottery
- Nerikomi: From Colour to Pattern
- You’ll learn the Japanese art of nerikomi – layering and combining coloured clays to create beautiful, patterned designs.
- Location: McGlashen Pottery, Brightwater.
- Dates: 12, 19 and 26 February 2026 (3 days)
- Cost: $350 for three full days.

Land, Sand and Stone Art – Workshop
- This full-day workshop is all about slowing down, getting creative, and connecting with nature through Land Art.
- Using natural materials like stones, leaves, sand, shells, and driftwood, you’ll create temporary artworks that celebrate the beauty of nature and change (or disappear) over time.
- Location: on request
- Date: on request
- Time: 10am – 4pm
- Cost: $75 per person plus some preparation time and materials, and fuel to location
